Its ok kind of slow in the middle
By kelly Groce
The trilogy as a whole is decent. I think this book just kind of ends with a thud. After an exciting first book, medorcre second, I was hoping this story would finish strong and it doesn't really happen. There is still alot of twists and turns and backstabbing but it doesn't engross the reader or make you yearn to learn more about the characters. Even in pivital points of the story things happen that do not really seemed to be explained properly. Nermesa had so many chances to kill Wulfrim yet he constantly lets him live even when he had the information he already needed. Nermesa seems to fall down rabbit holes and elude capture over and over like a big game of tag your it. The Kern's trilogy as a whole was much better. Even the end of the Kern's trilogy leaved much to be desired but it was still better than this. The ending does open up the idea of future Age of Conan stories that will hopefully have better story development.
